Our Teachers

khru- Kate

A native Thai, khru- Kate has been living in Singapore since 2020, and holds a bachelor’s degree in English Studies from Chiang Rai Rajabhat University. Before becoming a Thai language teacher, she worked as a client advisor for an international luxury brand, serving the Asia Pacific region. khru- Kate is the founder of Salt School and course coordinator of the Basic Thai courses.

The class is relatively small and it encourages students to ask questions whenever they have doubt - this gives students the platform to clarify doubts. It was a great experience picking up a new language with khru- Kate, really recommend joining even if one has little exposure to Thai previously.

khru- Kate is very patient in teaching us Thai and answering our questions. Our lessons are packed with knowledge as we get to learn new Thai vocab and alphabets every week. khru- Kate also takes the time to send us extra tidbits and explanations via WhatsApp after class. All in all, it is a very fun learning experience.
